The project : Ensure that the needle tip for hyaluronic acid injections is safely outside a blood vessel.

The mission : Develop a device that allows practitioners to confirm the accurate localisation of the needle prior to injection, ensuring patient safety and precision during the procedure.

Founder of Safe Medic, Jean-Marc Adda specialises in aesthetic medicine. He leads a renowned clinic and is recognised as a Key Opinion Leader by major laboratories. In his daily practice, Dr Adda is acutely aware of the risks associated with hyaluronic acid injections into blood vessels. He understands that a single mistake can lead to necrosis, affecting patients and, by direct extension, impacting the practitioner himself.
Convinced of the urgent need to secure these procedures, Dr Adda reached out to The Use Factory.

This design led to the filing of a patent.

1

Analysis and solutions researches

A collaborative analysis and creation process was established, enabling the optimal utilisation of Dr Adda’s experience and practice to develop solutions. Through prototyping and creative experimentation, the solutions were refined into a viable concept.

Prototyping

The Use Factory managed the creativity, technical development, and functional prototyping of the device. The initial objective is to confirm the solution’s usability and effectiveness, then improve the design for industrial production.

2

Patent

The Use Factory helped prepare and draft the patent, which has now been granted, giving Safe Medic a strong international hold on intellectual property.
